Go-to-Market (GTM) Specialist
Owner of Queri's market narrative, demand generation, and commercial activation motion, turning market interest into revenue across agencies, creators, brands, and global fans.
About Queri
Queri is building the intelligence and activation layer for Japanese and Asian entertainment IP. We connect creators, agencies, IP holders, fans, brands, and distribution partners through a platform that turns global fan demand into data, community, monetization, and real-world activation.
We are looking for a GTM and marketing leader who can make Queri understood, trusted, and adopted by the market.
Fan Engagement
Engaging global fans directly through fanclubs, merch, tickets, and community.
B2B Intelligence
Showing where global demand exists for entertainment IP.
Activation
Converting demand into sponsorships, campaigns, events, and market expansion.
The Role
The Go-to-Market (GTM) Specialist owns Queri's market narrative, customer acquisition strategy, demand generation, brand positioning, strategic campaigns, and commercial activation motion.
This is not a traditional marketing role focused only on content, PR, or social. Queri needs someone who can create demand across Japanese agencies and IP holders, creators, advertisers, strategic partners, and global fans, packaging Queri’s value for each audience and turning market interest into revenue.
The right candidate understands both brand and revenue, building Queri's public story while helping close agencies, brands, sponsors, creators, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
Own Queri's go-to-market strategy across agencies, creators, brands, advertisers, event partners, and global fan communities.
Define Queri's positioning as the intelligence and activation layer for Japanese entertainment IP going global.
Create messaging that clearly explains Queri to agencies, creators, IP holders, brands, advertisers, investors, fans, and strategic partners.
Build the B2B GTM motion: target account lists, industry segmentation, value propositions, sales materials, pitch decks, case studies, pilot structures, and reporting narratives.
Partner with the CEO and COO on strategic partner development, agencies, advertising and media companies, sponsors, distribution partners, and IP owners.
Create GTM campaigns around proof points: creator launches, fanclub growth, global fan heatmaps, brand activations, sponsorship case studies, demand signals, and event outcomes.
Own Queri's external brand voice across website, LinkedIn, press, investor materials, partner decks, event materials, and thought leadership.
Develop the brand marketplace motion: how brands discover fan communities, how campaigns are packaged, how sponsorships are priced, and how ROI is communicated.
Work with product to turn customer feedback into product improvements and marketable features.
Build demand among global fans through creator-led launches, community engagement, localized campaigns, partnerships, and social distribution.
Track GTM metrics: qualified agency/creator/brand pipeline, campaign revenue, fan acquisition, CAC, activation rate, conversion, retention, and marketing-sourced revenue.
Eventually hire and manage a lean team across growth, content, partnerships marketing, community, PR, and sales/marketing operations.
What Success Looks Like
- Queri becomes easy to explain in one sentence and compelling in a full pitch.
- Japanese agencies and IP holders understand that Queri helps them globalize without losing control.
- Brands understand that Queri gives them access to real fan communities with measurable activation, not just influencer impressions.
- Creators understand that Queri helps them earn more, reach global fans, and reduce operational friction.
- Global fans understand Queri as a trusted way to connect with Japanese creators and IP they already love.
- The company develops repeatable GTM playbooks for agency onboarding, creator launches, brand campaigns, sponsorship packages, and event activations.
- Queri starts producing market proof: case studies, revenue examples, fan engagement data, and partner success stories.
Requirements
- 8+ years in go-to-market, marketing, growth, partnerships, brand strategy, entertainment marketing, creator economy, SaaS, media, advertising, consumer platforms, or marketplace businesses.
- Proven ability to build positioning and messaging for a new category or complex product.
- Strong understanding of B2B GTM, especially selling into agencies, brands, media companies, enterprise partners, or strategic accounts.
- Strong storytelling ability across decks, sales materials, public content, events, and executive conversations.
- Commercial mindset with experience connecting marketing activity to pipeline, revenue, partnerships, or GMV.
- Experience with creators, entertainment IP, fan communities, brands, sponsorships, events, or global consumer communities is strongly preferred.
- Business-level English required; business-level Japanese strongly preferred. Additional Asian language capability is a plus.
- Ability to work directly with founders and build from zero without waiting for a large team or perfect structure.
- Comfortable operating between Japan and global markets.
Nice to Have
- Experience at or with Dentsu, Hakuhodo, CyberAgent, Abema, LINE/Yahoo, Rakuten, Sony, Avex, Toei, Bandai Namco, HYBE, Weverse, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Spotify, Netflix, Crunchyroll, Patreon, or global entertainment/creator platforms.
- Launching new products, new markets, creator campaigns, brand partnerships, or sponsorship marketplaces.
- Investor storytelling, category creation, thought leadership, and PR.
- Building community-led growth or fan-led campaigns.
- Packaging data products, analytics, campaign reporting, or audience intelligence for brands and agencies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal GTM leader is not just a marketer, they are a category builder, commercial storyteller, and activation strategist.
They can sit with a Japanese agency and explain why Queri protects control, with a global brand and explain why fandom data creates better ROI, with a creator and explain how Queri helps them earn more, and with fans and make Queri feel like an exciting new way to support what they love, helping turn Queri from a strong product vision into a market movement.
